This is an interesting story; however, some of the audio portions need ironing out. The narration at 1.36 is a bit hard to decipher. There are other portion that need some fine tuning in terms of false starts and pause. You should go back and make these minute changes. Magnify those waveforms and make decisive cuts.
A larger issue is your choice of background music. The track has an ambient, meditative vibe which doesn’t mesh with your narrative that circles back to the emotion of excitement and anticipation. As you say in your meta-commentary in the beginning, this is not your traditional story of overcoming obstacles or achieving victory. Yet it is a story that aspires to these themes. Your music/soundtrack should complement this theme. I think you need to find a track with more energy, one that will mesh with your recitation, which moves at a fairly allegro rate.
